We were honoured to be named the chosen charity for this year’s OxProp Awards, hosted by UK Property Forums at Keble College, Oxford.
The evening brought together 418 guests from across Oxfordshire’s property and built environment sector, making it the biggest event of its kind since the awards began.
Guests heard from Dr Martin Reeves, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire County Council, and our own CEO, Simon Hewett-Avison, who spoke about the vital work we do to support people experiencing homelessness across the county.
Matthew Battle, Managing Director of UK Property Forums, explains in the video below why the partnership felt like such a natural fit.
With so many people in the room working on housing and the built environment, the connection to Homeless Oxfordshire’s mission was clear.
Guests were invited to donate a minimum of £20 on the night, with many going further with company donations and gifts in kind. Thanks to their generosity, an incredible £3,700 was raised in support of our work.
We were also proud to sponsor the Best Education and Learning Building of the Year award, which was presented to the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, Oxford. Congratulations to them, and to all of the night’s worthy winners.
We are grateful to Matthew Battle, UK Property Forums, and everyone at the OxProp Awards for choosing to support us this year, and to every guest who gave so generously on the night. Their support helps us continue our work with people experiencing homelessness across Oxfordshire.
