Tee-rific golfers raise £17,000 for Homeless Oxfordshire

Over 90 golfers gathered together at Studley Wood Golf course for our 2025 golf day and raised an incredible £17,000 to help rebuild lives that have been shaped by trauma and disadvantage.

The sun shone brightly all day, spirits were high and the atmosphere across the course was fantastic. It was a real treat to see so many people enjoying the day while raising vital funds to support our work. 23 teams arrived at Studley Wood where they enjoyed a tasty brunch before heading out onto the course to play 18 holes of golf.

Alongside the main game, golfers put their skills to the test by taking part in three additional on-course games including a longest putt competition.

Once the golfing part of the day was over, everyone headed back to the clubhouse to enjoy dinner and drinks. Before the raffles and auction took place we eagerly awaited for the announcement of the day’s champion golfers.

Huge congratulations to h2o creative’s team who came in third, Howden Team 2 who took second place, and Howden Team 1 who took home the winner’s trophy!

The evening’s auction was jam-packed with fantastic prizes including holiday stays on the Isles of Scilly and Italy; four balls at Frilford Heath and Studley Wood golf courses; a meal from Oxford Fine Dining, and original artwork created by local artist Tim Steward.

As we bid a fond farewell to this year’s event Tim Wraith, our Partnership Fundraising Manager, captured the spirit of the day by saying: “Thank you so much to everyone who was a part of our 2025 Golf Day. I’m delighted to say we raised a brilliant £17,365 which is just incredible! It was such a special and fun event and so much kindness and generosity was directed at our work here at Homeless Oxfordshire.”
