Busy Bea Helps Homeless Oxfordshire…

Every so often, we are lucky enough to be contacted by remarkable boys and girls who want to help us by raising funds.

That’s why we are incredibly grateful to 10-year-old Bea, who ran an entire marathon over the course of two weeks for us last year.

She raised a whopping £2,155 for us with this fundraiser!

Bea has come to our aid once again when she decided to do yet another fundraiser for us, this time in the shape of knitted Easter chicks! Bea learned to knit recently and made the Easter chicks that hold “surprise” chocolate eggs! And so far, she has raised £300 for us!

A

Crafty Bea learned how to knit from watching videos on YouTube and got the idea to knit the chicks from one particular tutorial. She has been knitting every evening before going to bed and so far, she has created 50 of these cheeky chicks!

We’re also grateful to Sarah her mum for keeping us up to date and for sending over pictures throughout the whole journey of her marathon.

Sarah said that Bea has always shown concern for homeless people since she was a young girl:

“She has always from being tiny, shown a great concern for homeless people and knew that things would be particularly tough for them at this time. She set herself this challenge and wanted to help homeless people locally, so we did a search and she loved the sound of all the things your charity does to help. This is why we chose Homeless Oxfordshire.”

Bea is a true superstar and an inspiration to us all, thank you for all of your support and care, Bea, you’re very special to us. We can’t wait to see what you do next.

Bea’s brilliance has also been published in The Herald!
