Announcing our Raffle Winners!

Like so many business and charities, the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted our income streams and caused us massive financial disruption. However, in true ‘Homeless Oxfordshire spirit’, we showed our resilience and adapted our efforts to online fundraising… despite the adversity!

We raised an incredible £4381 which is thanks to YOU, our supporters, who helped us out at a time that wasn’t easy for anyone. So without further ado, we are delighted to share our winners with you!

The top prize of £2000
Catherine G: “I donate to Homeless Oxfordshire because I like to support local charities. I can’t believe that people in this day and age are still sleeping rough. My daughter is getting married soon, so I would love to use the money towards her wedding dress and maybe for my outfit too!”

£500 winner
Mark F: “I should have taken part in the Three peaks challenge this summer but it was cancelled. I will do the challenge next year, but in the meantime, I thought I’d give the raffle a go…   I didn’t expect to win anything though! I moved into a new house and I need a new washing machine so this money this will really help. I didn’t expect win… this is amazing and I am so pleased to help Homeless Oxfordshire!”

Kindle Fire & Netflix subscription
Niels V: “I know someone who started working for the charity recently, so I know what a worthy cause it is. Winning a prize comes just in time for Christmas, I am so pleased…I never win anything!”

Oak Coffee table
Anonymous winner: “Homeless Oxfordshire is a great charity, I knew you’d been hit hard financially due to the COVID pandemic, so I wanted to help out by buying a few raffle tickets. It’s really fantastic to have won something but I’m just happy to have been able to help a charity that does so much for vulnerable people in the area.”

Fresh Oxford £50 clothing voucher
John M: “I have great sympathy for the plight of the homeless, this was one way that I could help. I’m really pleased to have won, thank you.”

Spicery subscription
Rachel M – “Thanks so much!”

Box of Happy Cupcakes
Dan B: “So unexpected to win, this cause means a lot to me and it is my company’s charity partner, I’m looking forward to some lovely cakes that I might share with my colleagues”

I Subscribe Magazine subscription
Claire J: “This was a great way to support our charity partner. I’m very happy to have won, what a great surprise, I’m looking forward to receiving my first magazine.”

A huge thank you once again to everyone who took part in the raffle and for your ongoing kindness and support. Homelessness really can be solved and with your help, we can make life-changing and life-saving differences to some of the most vulnerable people in Oxfordshire.
