Homeless Oxfordshire

Our volunteers are one in a million. And the backbone of the wonderful work we do to pull people out of a life on the streets. We couldn’t do it without them and we’re always looking for eager new people to join our team.

Interested? If you’re over 18, a great communicator and have a fair, non-judgemental attitude, we’d love to hear from you.

We need help with training, education and activities

We are always looking for people to run activities or one-to-one work. Our aim is to inspire, educate and motivate our clients.

We are currently recruiting for activities that could help to improve our clients’ confidence, life skills and simply have fun! Examples of ways that volunteers get involved in this area are:

  • Running a cookery group
  • Debating
  • Involvement with sports such as football, climbing, going to the gym
  • Art and crafts
  • Music
  • Going fishing
  • Upcycling/DIY projects

Kitchen Volunteers

We are also always looking for volunteers to help in our kitchen at O’Hanlon House. This involves food preparation, serving our clients and tidying up. We need help 5 days per week for either lunch or dinner.

Help with fundraising

We are keen to find people who can fundraise on our behalf – either at work or within the community. If you think you can help, please contact the Fundraising team at O’Hanlon House on 01865 304 697.
