Frilford Heath Golf Club has chosen Homeless Oxfordshire as its 2025 Captains’ Charity

We are thrilled to announce that the newly instated Club Captains at Frilford Heath Golf Club have chosen to make Homeless Oxfordshire their Captains’ Charity for 2025. With their support, we can continue to change lives in our community.

Each year, the Frilford Heath Golf Club (FHGC) Captains choose a charity to support during their Captains’ year as a way to engage with the membership and champion a good cause. Selecting their Captains’ Charity was therefore one of the first tasks Sally Adams and Craig Soubieski undertook as they were elected as Lady Club Captain and Men’s Club Captain in January.

For Craig, the choice was simple. “The rise of people experiencing homelessness in our own county of Oxfordshire is shocking. We have selected Homeless Oxfordshire because of the vital services they offer to accommodate and help those with the greatest need.”

With an initial target of £10,000, the Captains’ Charity fundraiser will enable us to continue our vital work; housing and supporting people in our community whose complex needs are often the result of deep social exclusion, trauma and disadvantage.

Speaking ahead of the announcement, Sally told us that it was important to them to support a local charity that’s helping people who are facing challenges in their lives. “Craig and I want to raise awareness of homelessness in our local community and do what we can to make lives better.”

Echoing the thoughts of everyone here at Homeless Oxfordshire, Head of Fundraising & Communications, Liza Clothier, said: “We are extremely grateful to Sally and Craig for selecting us as their Captains’ Charity this year. We hope their fundraising efforts will spread awareness of homelessness in the county, inspire new supporters, and, of course, raise the funds to help us continue to support our residents.”
