About you
Are you a multi-skilled person who can turn your hand to anything?
Do people know you as someone who pays attention to details?
Are you genuinely kind, sympathetic and want to make a difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness and improve their wellbeing?
Do employers view you as professional and as someone who plays an active role in improving the operational standards of their facilities?
Perhaps you are already aware of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and understand how to support them. You may have gained this knowledge as a volunteer, through a previous job, or from your personal lived experience.
If all this sounds like you then you could make a great addition to our fantastic Property and Facilities team here at Homeless Oxfordshire.
About the role
You will play an active role improving the operational standards of our facilities by using your skills to positively impact our clients by ensuring great facility standards.
You will carry out in-house proactive, preventative and reactive maintenance within timelines. No two days will be the same: one day you could be carrying out basic building fabric repairs to doors, windows, and locks, the next you could be working on minor plumbing repairs or painting and decorating.
We are an accredited Oxford Living Wage employer, and other benefits to the role include: annual leave starting at 26 days (excluding bank holidays), flexible working, enhanced benefits with qualifying service, retail discounts, and life assurance up to four times your salary.
