We love a literature-related post as you know! Today is #NationalLimerickDay (Yes really) and while it isn't a limerick, we thought this would be the perfect time to share a poem we came across, written by a homeless man called Jamie. It very poignantly demonstrates the reality for many homeless people in the UK today.

Do you have a favourite poem or limerick? Share it with us!

Announcement! Here are our book choices for our next Book Club session on 4th June! The book that we will be discussing is the marvellous #Isolarion by James Attlee, a charming tale of a pilgrimage set in a city most of us will be very familiar with, #Oxford! 📖

Our recommended read this month (the one for you to enjoy but that we won't discuss at the meeting) is 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' by Charlie Mackesy, this bestseller filled with wonderful sketches and wise words will hopefully bring some comfort and hope to our lovely Book Club members in such times of uncertainty. 🤲

To enable our clients to becomes truly independent, developing their reading and writing skills is vital – whether that’s so they are confident in filling out a job application or a medical form at the doctors'. Your subscriptions will help us to develop their literacy abilities, through reading and writing activities. We’re also hoping to launch a dedicated literary programme for our clients that will develop these crucial skills. 🙌

But.. we can only do it with your help! Sign up today and help someone #StartANewChapter

5 had rounds of questions including a Star Wars round - we didn't realise there were quite so many Star Wars fans amongst our supporters! 🤩

We're eager to know how you're feeling about online quizzes now that we are slowly being allowed back into the 'real world'... so comment below with a yes or no if you'd like to see something similar from us again in the future!
